Frederick’s of Hollywood is a widely known trademark of women clothing in US with boutiques in many big shopping centres across the US.

The company was started  in 1946 by Frederick Mellinger, who is also the inventor of the push-up bra. The original main store was a symbol on Hollywood Boulevard. In September 2005 the store moved to a larger and more contemprorary space a few blocks futher, close to the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. Besides to the choice of bras,panties, they sell corsets, lingerie of any description, dresses, tops, jackets, shoes and accessories. The store no longer host The Lingerie Museum(The Celebrity Lingerie Hall of Fame) which displayed a set of underclothes that

belonged by Hollywood film stars, like one of Madonna’s corsets. Still, this flagship Fred Hollywood shop does demonstrates bras adn corsets designed by famous persons for charity work.
